1 in stock - Almost gone!

A powerful, urgent middle-grade novel about migration, identity, and the courage it takes to fight for freedom — from Emmy Award–winning journalist and activist Ruchira Gupta.

When twelve-year-old Amara flees violence in her home country and makes the dangerous journey to the US border, she must navigate an immigration system that seems designed to break her. But Amara refuses to give up — not on her family, not on herself, and not on the dream of a life where she belongs.

Searing, important, and ultimately full of hope, The Freedom Seeker introduces young readers to one of the defining humanitarian questions of our time — through the eyes of a brave, unforgettable child.
