THE ROALD DAHL CLOTHBOUND COLLECTION · Bound in real cloth with gold foil · Illustrated by Quentin Blake
One moonlit night, Sophie looks out of the orphanage window and sees something she shouldn't: a giant. Before she knows it she has been snatched from her bed and carried off to Giant Country.
Luckily, this is the Big Friendly Giant. He catches dreams in jars, eats revolting snozzcumbers, drinks fizzy frobscottle and speaks in a gloriously muddled language all his own. But his neighbours are far less friendly — they gallop off every night to gobble up children. Together, Sophie and the BFG come up with a daring plan to stop them.
Warm, inventive and full of wonderful words, The BFG was Dahl's own favourite among his books.
