अरुंधति रॉय 'द गॉड ऑफ़ स्मॉल थिंग्स' (1997 में बुकर पुरस्कार से सम्मानित) और 'द मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ़ अटमोस्ट हैप्पीनेस' उपन्यासों की लेखक हैं। उन्होंने 'माई सेडिशस हार्ट' और 'आज़ादी' सहित कई और कथेतर कृतियाँ भी लिखी हैं। वह दिल्ली में रहती हैं।

Winner of the Booker Prize (1997) and the PEN Pinter Prize (2024), Arundhati Roy is among the most widely read Indian writers in the world. Her mother, Mary Roy, was a legend in her own right — the pioneering educator who founded Pallikoodam school and won the landmark 1986 Supreme Court case securing equal inheritance rights for Syrian Christian women.
